Twilight Tale

its eating me up inside

i can no longer run and hide

i can feel the fear ebbing away.

the rose arch gave way to the

altar; i watch my dreams crucify

tearing apart things i love

the needs and the wants lay paralysed

to be turned into nothingness,

the damp coldness left me shocked

stunned, non-functioning, stunned;

what am i to do now?

what am i to do now?

where I’m going is anybody’s play.

To grovel and wait for mercy?

or lay down in submission?

submitting to their needs,

and serving every sighs and whimps?

Its eating me up inside

i can no longer run and hide

i can feel the fear ebbing away.

i smile as i rise,

the power surges through my wings

wings, that no scissors can tease

and i will soar high.
