Endless Desire

Our eyes caught, entangled
In web of fevour-ed trance
Our lips dry and cracking
Longing - pulling at heartstrings
Masochistic moth desires to burn
The amber fervid flame calls out
Oh so tempting!
Oh so tempting!

A loveless life leaves no lore
No guile nor intrigue
Can lend a hand
To shield the frivolous heart
Shirking away in sweet maiden’s
Artifice, feigning to shy on the sly
Paving the path of poisonous passion

Eyes ablaze in ardent frenzy
Feverish hands scramble to provide
As the coveting soul drinks on sweet victory
Soothing the ache, soothing the ache
Trying to satiate the gluttonous hunger
For now, satisfaction spreads
For now, the heart is content
For now, the ache is soothed.
